The Southern Division Needs YOU! The Southern Division Board of Directors is asking you to please give serious consideration to providing your time and talent to help keep your division running on the right track. Several of the current board members have expressed a desire to step down and let others take over the throttle. But a major issue in the division seems to be the lack of volunteerism and unwillingness to get involved in a leadership role or even assist at train meets. The division generally has four meets a year and these days folks willing to serve as a meet host (or even a meet co-host) are hard to come by. Of course it’s easier to just let others do the job, sit back, relax and show up for a meet to buy and sell trains. But is it fair? Surely there are plenty of SD members who have the time and talent to get more involved. So please download the attached volunteer form, send it to VP Mike Mills and let us know that you are willing, ready and able to help us to continue to be a tremendous TCA division! |

SOUTHERN DIVISION MEMBERSHIP & DUES PAYMENTS It's TRAIN SEASON again which also means it's SOUTHERN DIVISION MEMBERSHIP Renewal time again! If you haven't paid your 2024 SD Dues yet, please mail a check for $10.00 made out to "TCA Southern Division" to Treasurer, PO BOX 2381, Palm Harbor, FL, 34682. And if you still have that dues reminder postcard you received in the mail, please send that along with your payment. Among the benefits of SD membership are (1) free entrance to SD meets for you and your family members plus (2) $10.00 off of table rental fees at meets. So if you attend at least 2 meets per year or take at least one table at an SD meet per year, you have recovered the $10 cost of your dues! Southern Division membership is available to any valid TCA member, regardless of where he/she resides. But you must maintain your TCA membership to remain an SD member and be advised that TCA dues and SD dues deadlines for most members occur at different times during the year. The SD annual dues deadline is December 31st of each year but check your TCA membership card to find out when your TCA dues need to be renewed which is probably in a different month. |
